Company
History
The company was founded in 1957 by its historical owner, Josef Kaser, in Bressanone (BZ), Italy. Originally it was a small company that did mainly lathing and welding jobs, laying potable water lines and fire fighting systems, and also manufacturing greenhouses. Over the years, the core of the company activities has moved from steel works to metal constructions. The company now works at industrial level, mainly constructing high quality facades and special metal and glass structures. The company, which in the meantime moved to its headquarters in Varna (BZ), Italy, is now managed by the founders successors, Rupert and Günther Kaser.
Running parallel to the main activities, in the late 1990s Kaser began to build passenger conveyor belts, which were at first used as auxiliary lift systems in winter sports areas; they are now used also in other outdoor sectors, summer parks and golf courses. As a result of the expansion of the areas of use, the belts are no longer sold under the KASERSkicarpet trademark, but now carry the more generic name of KASERCarpets. Kaser, whose products are now sold all over the world, is one of the most important export businesses in the South Tyrol area
